Happy New Year

We welcomed 2008 with family and friends last night at Marlea & Chris's house. We had alot of fun, we played that game Apples to Apples and I loved it. I am definitely going to get that game. Chance said he did not care for it too much, but who cares what he thinks, I liked it. I think it would be fun to play with Brittany and Taelor.
I dont think I am going to make any New Year resolutions. I can never stick with them, so I think I am just going to make a few mental suggestions for myself and see what I can do.
I have my black eye peas in the kitchen still in the bag they came in and I do not have any collards, so I am not sure if I am going to make the whole good luck and money food today. I should have planned better, but I just could not get motivated to yesterday. We will see what happens. This will be the first year ever that I dont have my whole new years day menu planned out. See for you people up north. You are to eat black eye peas for good luck and the collards to bring you money for the new year. It is a southern thing. Laugh if you must but believe me everyone down here does it I think, except Teresa. She called me yesterday asking me if I had my peas and stuff ready to eat and just laughing at me and gagging at the thought of eating that stuff.
We are going to the movies today to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, and guess what Chance is going too. See he goes to the movies about once every 4 years. He actually said he would not mind seeing that movie so we are off this afternoon to see that. While Brittany and her boyfriend see something different, because you know it would not be cool to see the same movie even though she wants to see Alvin and the Chipmunks real bad, I guess she will have to wait until another day.
