Update from earlier post this week.. Erin had her chair test in band and got 2nd seat.. Yeppie. There is only 1 person that was better than her playing the clarinet :) Go Erin !!!
Brittany got her PROM dress today.. her step mom took her shopping today and she got HER dress. She was so happy that the lady at the dress store put her name on a list that if any other girl came in there and wanted that dress for her school they could not get it because she has it !!
Ok, I am NOW going to get on my soap box for a minute..... Bare with me :)
I have had 2 different people that I am acquainted with on a daily basis that are going through some rough times in there marriage...
This is what I want to know.. WHY DO PEOPLE CHEAT ON THERE SPOUSE ???????????????
I mean if you are not happy in your marriage.. The first thing you need to do is express this to your spouse so maybe you both can work to fix whatever is wrong. Why would you stray away to vent or express this to someone else? I just don't understand this. I am seeing this from 2 different situations.. And I can say it is tearing families apart. This is causing not only emotional but physical pain in so many ways.
I just don't understand WHY men do this. I am saying MEN because the 2 people I know it is the MAN that is doing it !!!
Marriage is not always flowers, chocolate and long date nights.. I mean I cant even remember the last time my husband and I had a date night when Erin was not with us !! But, what I am getting at is.. marriage is work, its not just happy go lucky all the time. There are bumps in the road and bridges you must cross all the time.. So why would you think things are greener on the other side???
Tonight the preacher talked about lust, and marriage. If I could have had some of these people with me tonight at church it would have been wonderful !!!! I do honestly think that prayer and being connected to the lord will help any situation. Like the preacher said if you are filled with the things of the world your life will be filled with the ways of the world.. So true...
I just wanted to touch this subject real quick.. It just saddens me to see what others peoples actions are doing to so many others.

It's sad to say, but more and more of this is going on these days. And it's not just men, women are just as guilty.
Cheating has no excuses. It is the most selfish thing someone can do to another person. It destroys not only a marriage, but the person, too.
Thankfully, we serve a loving and forgiving God that shows us mercy and grace, but a person must turn from that way of living. Selfishness has to stop completely and you must repent of your actions. God also allows for healing and restoration. It is a long road, but can be accomplished.
So, to answer you question of why people cheat, its a matter of someone being so self-centered and/or insecure in themselves. It is because you get into a foggy state where you think things may be better elsewhere and lose sight of what is really in front of you. It's not the other person that "makes you so unhappy" but the person in the mirror. You go outside a marriage to seek the happiness you don't have within. The only person to give you true happiness is God. You must find him and everything else will fall into place. Whoever reads this, just HOPE and PRAY and God will give peace and understanding. Again, long road ahead, but allow God to work and restore.

Hi Amy, I think you are right. No matter what your station in life, we are all human and under GOD's rule. Even when we try to do the best we can at all times, eventually we sin. We all fall short of GOD's glory, even if you are a pastor or sunday school teacher. However most people do seem to hold them to a higher standard because they should know better. The bible tells us not to judge others so we should leave them to GOD, who will someday judge us all.
