She found this puppy on the Internet and explained to me THIS was the puppy she wanted. I explained to her that the puppy was ready now and that if she got it she would not be getting anything for her birthday in December. She said she did not care and that she would be in the depths of dispare if she did not get this puppy. Ok, Thursday night I called about the puppy and got some basic information. On Friday morning I called again and finished the deal, the puppy arrived today by airplane to the Atlanta airport. The puppy had to be shipped from Miami, Florida and then had a layover in Huston, TX and then off to Atlanta. Chance drove to Atlanta to pick up the puppy. While he was waiting there was another lady there picking up a puppy from the same lady we bought ours from, how cute was that. She was purchasing a English Bulldog. Poor Chance did not even know what kind of dog he was picking up he had to call me and ask me what kind of dog he was there to get.
Anyways, Brittany had NO idea she was getting this puppy. In fact last night she asked me had I called about the dog yet and I explained to her that I did and that someone had already put a deposit down on the puppy. She did not understand what that meant and when I explained to her what that meant she was heartbroken.
Dee was already having a Halloween party tonight so I asked her if we could give Brittany the puppy at the party. She was fine with that so what we did was called Brittany outside in the excuse that she had to get her picture taken, when she came outside everyone started singing Happy Birthday and looking at her. That is why she looks so confused in the pictures. But, when it came to the name part everyone said Fergie (puppies name on the website) and that is when I walked up in front of her with the dog. That moment was priceless... She screamed so loud and ran towards me. I thought for a moment I was going to get some tears, but I was mistaken. She did tell me once she was inside and all eyes were off of her that she wanted to cry.
She was so excited and surprised she had no clue she was getting the puppy. I dont know that I have ever seen her this excited. And if you know Brittany she is not a very excited person. I mean I have never seen her this excited not even on Christmas morning. So I have to say I am very happy everything worked out and turned out great.
Being able to give your child her hearts desire for her birthday and also being able to do it in complete surprise is absolutely priceless.....
I want to thank my parents for making this possible and Dee for allowing me to interrupt her party for a brief moment to be able to do this for Brittany.
Also, for inquiring minds the dog is a Brussels Griffon :)

This made my day! The photos are priceless. I wish so badly I could see your face too. I know you were grinning like a cat spitting feathers! I can't wait to meet Fergie, if that is still her name. ;)
She will be like my little puppy niece!
PS, I am so glad Chance didn't come back with the bulldog. That would have been HORRIBLE! But really, really funny!
Wow that is great. I thought you couldn't find one of those particular dogs. Good for you and Brittany. I know what you mean about giving your child what she wants. It does make you feel great. Hey thanks for the advice too. It meant alot.
