Balancing Act

As parents,co-workers,wife, and friend we all have the lovely duty of playing the balancing act. We work daily (well some of us) (Dee), we have children, we have friends, a household to deal with, homework, baths, after school activities, the list could go on and on. The question is how do we make time for ourselves??? Just US (women)! And how do we manage it all??? I know I have tried to lock myself in the bathroom and take a bath or something, however my 8 year old is usually knocking on the door needing something or screaming that Brittany is being mean to her. So what to do????

I know you are probably thinking "your butt just went to the beach for Girls Weekend" I admit I have that privilege and believe me I do enjoy it, however you do need time in your own home to just relax, you have to think it is a 4 hour drive down there, staying up late talking and such and by the time you get back home you are so worn out you feel like you have been gone a week.

I know I struggle with this alot, finding time to get everything done. I know I have blogged about this before, but my house has to be straight at all times or I am just out of sorts. I know I have tried to work on this, and my laundry, I feel like I am ALWAYS doing laundry. It never fails I could wash a load or two every night and when the weekend comes I still have piles and piles to do. Do you sometimes think someone else is living in your house and wearing all of your clothes when you are not home??? I do!

I am always rushed in the evenings I am rushing around trying to get Brittany picked up, dinner cooked, house cleaned, some laundry done, clothes ironed for the next day. And next week Erin starts cheer leading. And I cant deny Erin doing something she wants to do, however it does put more on me to get her there and such.

I know I am not the only one that has these troubles, however I just thought I would get it off my chest at the moment. I am just a tad stressed out about it at the moment. So maybe you have some ideas on time management? If so give me some suggestions. I would love to try something new if it would give me some extra time for maybe just myself.
And if you think I just need to suck it up please tell me!

I know what you mean about time management and balancing acts. I used to be the most organized person but since I became a mother I the most disorganized person. You just gotta go with the flow. You have to enjoy the moment you are in because before you know it your children are grown and you are an old woman wondering where the time went. Of course this is the pot calling the kettle black!!!
Glad I am not the only one out there. My issue is stress about finances. I constantly worry. Give me some tips on that!!

I know what you mean about time management and stress. Women just naturally have stress. I used to be the most organized person before I became a mother but now I am the most disorganized. You just gotta go with the flow. Before you know it your children are grown and you are an old woman wondering where all your time went. But I can't talk. I do the same thing. Just breath sometimes.

I am NOT the one to give advice on domestic matters, other than hire helo, BUT that said I have come up with a little system that seems to be working for me. I start on Monday and clean the master bedroom as well as I can, and then on Tuesday I straighten that room and then move on to the next room and clean as well as I can, and then the next day I straighten the first two and so on. It's working for me and helps me to not feel overwhelmed. I am also finding that exercising is feeling like me time and tonight at the gym wanted to go and sit on the toilet with my US weekly just to have 10 more minuets for me!
