Brittany's Day

Okay, We all know Brittany is 15, part drama queen, bank geek, & young lady. Well yesterday I think she explored her young lady side. Yesterday she spent the day at Davids house, his mom picked her up and she spent the day with them. I was going to pick her up before Erins ball practice last night, but she said his mom wanted her to stay for supper so I let her and his dad brought her home last night. Before Brittany got home I received a call on my cell phone and to my surprise it was David's mom, I was a little taken back and did not know what she was calling me for, she proceeded to tell me how much she "loved" Brittany, how sweet she was, how well mannered she was, she helped cook, clean up, and bring groceries in when they went to the store, and even if her and David did not work out that Brittany was always welcome to come over and hang out with her, she just loved her and thinks the world of her. She said "You have done such a great job in raising her" She just went on and on about her and told me she felt that parents these days do not get enough recognition with there children and just wanted me to know how much she loved her and what a great young lady she was.
I was of course by now beaming and wondering if my child had been taken over by some other child??? I thanked her and just could not believe how much this woman thought of her. I told Brittany when she got home how much she raved about her and how much she just thought the world of her. She smiled the whole time and said " I know I am the bomb" just the reaction I was looking for in her, my vain child.
After talking on the bed about the phone call- Brittany says to me, "Did I tell you about my situation today?" I did not know what she was getting ready to tell me. She then tells me what happened. Okay are you ready??? She said that they went to the Dollar General and she felt like her monthly friend had come to visit her, well she went to the bathroom and there her friend was- she proceeded to find something in the bathroom to use I am guessing it was the employee bathroom also, the dollar general is only so big. Okay, she then as bold as she is went to David and tells him what has just happened he then tells her to go talk to his mom and tell her, Brittany is too scared to tell her, HELLO, you just told your boyfriend of 2 weeks what happened why could you not tell his mother??? Long story short, she told her and then she took Brittany back home so she could change clothes. I just died laughing at her, I would have just died and crawled up myself if that would have happened to me at 15, she did not have any shame in her game. Brittany then went back to his house and spent the day like nothing happened. We laughed so hard about her "situation" as she called it.
The Gathering of the Goddesses are meeting tonight and I cant wait for drinks and gossip!!! Oh, and believe me this story above will be one that I will dish out tonight. Can you just believe how bold and brave she is ? And lets not forget "well mannered"
