Letters to my Children

As Brittany grows up and moves on in her life and as I age. I have her a little something for her to read and remember important moments in her life and then again just everyday happenings. I started writing to her when she was in kindergarten. When I say I write to her I have a book that I write down stuff that she has done or is doing in her life and the dates of when these things happened. I will also tell her like it is - like when she was 12 and I thought I wanted to ship her off somewhere due to she thought she had to wear makeup like it was going to be gone the next day. I will update her on her grades and how I know she can do better. I hope when she gets older in life and reads back on these moments or events she can remember them, maybe not always the way I remembered them, but none the less remember them. I have not decided when I will give her this book, I think when she graduates or gets married is when I will had it over to her. Hopefully she will start writing where have stopped.

I have yet to start on Erin's, since she is in the 2nd grade I think I need to start. Maybe I can put that on my list for this weekend. If you are anything like me it is hard to remember things in your child's life, the funny things they say, do or how they express themselves. I just feel this is just my way of remembering things.

I will look back and read Brittany's and think to myself "I dont even remember that", you can already tell I will have Alzheimer's when I get older. But, it is nice to sit back and read it and remember the times of good or bad.

Just a suggestion: As time goes by so fast and as we try to keep up, lets make a little time to just sit back and reflect or write about what we have right in front of us.
