Random Happenings

Lets see where do I start???? I received this call on Saturday and the lady on the other line said that Brittany had been chosen to model for this modeling agency "Model Productions" so needless to say I was excited for her and they gave me all of the details and then asked if I had any other children and of course I said yes and they put Erins name down too. I called Taelor and she said NO WAY am I modeling. So back to story. We as in (Dee, Chance, Erin, Katherine,Brittany and myself) go out to find something for everyone to wear to this wonderful occasion. Erin and Katherine got these cute shirts from Justice for Girls and also had to let the ladies behind the counter know that they were going to be in a fashion show. (TooCute) Brittany found herself a cute shirt and jewelry at another store. Chance hung in there for awhile at Justice and then said he was going to the car. You have to admit he was doing good just to go in he was with 5 females. So now we are all set and ready to get all dolled up for this once and a lifetime event. It is Sunday @ 6:00 in the Auburn mall.
The time has arrived and we are regersting the kids and getting our paperwork and booklets. At that time we sit down they said the kids could practice there walk down the stage so needless to say Erin and Katherine were loving this. I bet they walked that cat walk 20 times. So we were NOT looking at the books and we were watching them and taking pictures. They were so cute and eating it all up. Okay, now the moment has arrived and Brittany is up first and she done so good she walked her walk and smiled. She done real good. Then it was Erins turn she done just as good. Then Katherine had her turn, she done so good too. They all done wonderful!!! Now the time has arrived for the call backs, if they call your number you get to come back and have a photo shoot and maybe win a year contract from the modeling agency.
Long story I know, Needless to say - EVERYONE that entered made it. How could that be we ask?????? The catch???? You had to pay $50.00 for each child right then for photo shoot time and another $50.00 at the time of the shoot and another $50.00 at the time of the call back audition. So this would have cost me over $300.00 for the both of them to do this. Believe me we (Dee and I) were hook line and sinker at first and then came to reality and asked for our money back. We decided to let Brittany go ahead and do it, thinking it would be a good experience for her. Erin and Katherine were okay with not signing up, they were just hungry and thirsty and ready to go. We get home and start telling Chance about it and he is just like " What a scam" yada yada, yada. Which he is right. Everyone made it because they had to pay money.
You do have to question the judges when lets justs call her mama dea makes it with lets just say she had more junk in the front than she did in the back and it was all hanging out of the bottom of her shirt and she has to be about 40 years old and had on a sailor hat as Katherine called it. She made it so come on!!!!
Brittany came out after Dee left last night and said she did not want to do it and thought it was not legit. She said mama if that old woman made it with the way she looked it can be right. So now I have to figure out how I am to get my other $50.00 back.
A lesson learned again. I have to say I am a sucker when it comes to this stuff and I always seem to fall for it some way some how. I have to say that a few years ago I probably would have just done it and not said anything, but in my older age I am getting a little bit more outspoken and getting a grip on a few things in life. I guess all that matters is that Erin and Katherine had a very fun time and thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. It was so cute to watch them. So on that note I am going to end now and hopefully get my $50.00 back.
